After creating a mnemonic for the Chase Liquid debit card, I was asked to lead a strategic initiative to upgrade the sonic interface for Chase's 16,000 ATMs.
Working with Chase product and marketing teams and their agency mcgarrybowen, we developed a sonic strategy to modernize the banking experience and help clients navigate ATM transactions with ease.
After much experimentation and testing, we identified the ideal palette of familiar and approachable timbres. The final set of 18 interface sounds creates a more tactile and responsive experience while reinforcing mnemonic cues used in Chase advertising. While I can't share the sounds here, I recommend visiting your local Chase bank to hear the difference.
